Privacy Policy
Effective: April 24, 2026 · Last updated: May 28, 2026
Plain-English summary: Fero Place is a solo indie studio based in Israel. Our flagship game, Dungeon Horde, is a single-player arcade survival game with optional online leaderboards. We don't ask for your real name, email, phone, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location. The data the Game does send is described in plain English below, along with the choices you have over it.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Fero Place ("Fero Place", "Feroplace", "we", "us", or "our") — a sole-proprietor indie game studio based in Israel — handles information in connection with our website at feroplace.com (the "Website") and our mobile game Dungeon Horde, together with any future title we publish under the Fero Place name (each, a "Game"; together with the Website, the "Services").
For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@feroplace.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the Services. It does not apply to third-party platforms (such as the Google Play Store), advertising networks, or any other third-party site or service, each of which is governed by its own privacy policy.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Data you choose to provide
- Player name (optional, leaderboard only). If you choose to submit a score to the in-game online leaderboard, the display name you enter is stored alongside your score so other players can see it. If you don't enter a name and don't submit your score, no name leaves your device.
- Support correspondence. If you email us at support@feroplace.com, we receive your email address and the content of your message, used solely to reply to you.
3.2 Data collected automatically by the Game
- Score & gameplay stats. Best scores and run results submitted to the leaderboard are sent to Unity Gaming Services.
- Device & advertising identifiers. While ads are shown, Google AdMob may collect your Google Advertising ID (AAID), coarse device type, OS version, language, time zone, and IP address (used to derive approximate country/region-level location).
- Ad interaction data. Which ads were shown, viewed, clicked, or skipped, used by the ad SDKs to measure performance and prevent ad fraud.
- Crash & diagnostic data (anonymous). When the Game crashes, Unity may collect anonymous diagnostic data such as a stack trace, device model, and OS version so we can fix bugs.
The Game does not request your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise GPS location. There is no user account system.
3.3 Data collected automatically by the Website
The Website is a static informational site. It does not set advertising cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not embed social trackers. Your browser and our hosting provider will, however, record standard request logs (such as IP address, user-agent string, and timestamps) for security and reliability purposes.
4. How we use the data
The data described above is used to:
- display the online leaderboard;
- diagnose crashes and improve stability;
- display advertisements (contextual or, where you have consented, personalized) that support free development of the Game;
- measure ad performance and prevent ad fraud;
- respond to your support emails;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your data for money, and we do not use it for credit, insurance, employment, or any other "automated decision that produces legal effects" within the meaning of GDPR Article 22.
5. Third-party services
The Game relies on the following third-party providers, each of which is an independent controller of the data it collects through its SDK. Please review their policies for full details:
- Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) — leaderboards and crash diagnostics. See the Unity Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) — mobile advertising. See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Google Play Services (Google) — app distribution and platform integration. See the Google Privacy Policy.
For players in jurisdictions where consent is required by law — including the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland — the current version of the Game serves only non-personalized advertising by default. No advertising identifier is used to build a profile of you across apps or sites. If a future version of the Game introduces personalized advertising, we will first deploy an in-Game consent screen (such as one implemented via Google's User Messaging Platform) and update this policy to describe it before any personalized advertising is shown.
6. Legal basis (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we (and our advertising and analytics partners) rely on the following legal bases under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the leaderboard feature when you submit a score.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for non-personalized advertising, crash diagnostics, fraud prevention, and security. You may object to this processing at any time by emailing support@feroplace.com.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — when we must keep or share data to comply with applicable law.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — reserved for any future personalized advertising or other non-essential processing. The current version of the Game does not rely on consent because it does not engage in personalized advertising in jurisdictions where GDPR applies.
7. Data retention
- Leaderboard entries (display name + score) are retained for as long as the leaderboard exists, or until you request deletion. We may reset seasonal leaderboards from time to time.
- Crash and diagnostic data is retained by Unity for up to 90 days and then deleted or aggregated.
- Advertising and ad-measurement data is retained by ad partners per their own retention schedules — typically a maximum of 14 months for ad-interaction data; see the policies linked in Section 5.
- Support emails are retained for up to 24 months after the issue is resolved and then deleted.
8. Security
All data the Game sends to its providers (Unity Gaming Services, Google AdMob, Google Play Services) is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. At-rest storage is handled by those providers using their industry-standard security infrastructure. No online service is 100% secure, but we select providers with strong security track records. You use the Services at your own risk.
9. International transfers
Fero Place operates from Israel, which the European Commission has recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection. Our third-party providers operate globally and may process your data in the United States, the European Union, and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, our providers rely on legally recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as described in their policies.
10. Your rights (EU/UK/EEA/Switzerland)
If GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- request data portability;
- withdraw any consent you have given (without affecting prior processing);
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — for example, the EDPB directory lists national supervisory authorities.
To exercise any of these rights against us, email support@feroplace.com with the display name you used in-game (if any). We will respond within 30 days. Because we don't run user accounts, we may have very little or no data about you. To exercise rights against an advertising partner (which holds far more), please contact that partner directly using the links in Section 5.
11. Your rights (California)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to:
- know what categories of personal information are collected and disclosed;
- request access to and deletion of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
- limit the use of "sensitive personal information" (we do not knowingly collect any);
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising identifiers for personalized advertising may qualify as "sharing" under the CCPA. You can opt out at any time by:
- resetting or limiting your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads;
- declining personalized advertising in the in-Game consent screen, where shown; or
- emailing support@feroplace.com.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16 for purposes of sale or sharing.
12. Other jurisdictions
Residents of other jurisdictions, including Israel (Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981), Brazil (LGPD), and Canada (PIPEDA), may have similar rights of access, correction, and deletion. Email support@feroplace.com to exercise them. We will respond within 30 days.
13. Your choices & controls
- Leaderboard opt-out. Don't want to appear online? Don't enter a name and don't submit your score.
- Advertising ID reset. Reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Ad personalization. The current version of the Game serves only non-personalized advertising to players in the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland (see Section 5). To further limit ad personalization on any device, reset or opt out of your Advertising ID via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
- Uninstall. Uninstalling the Game removes all local data stored on your device. The next install generates a new anonymous identifier.
- Right to deletion. Email support@feroplace.com with the display name you used in-game and we will delete your leaderboard entry within 30 days.
14. Children
The Game is rated for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information, contact support@feroplace.com and we will delete it. We require our advertising partners to use only contextual (non-personalized) advertising in any app designated as "child-directed" within their dashboards.
15. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and publish the new version at the same URL. Where practical, material changes will also be highlighted in the Game or on the Website. Continued use of the Services after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
